About UIRI:
Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) a parastatal organization under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives is seeking to recruit skilled and experienced personnel for the following positions:
Job Summary:  The position holder will maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development
·         Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures to ensure HR practices are in line with industry norms and enables the employer to achieve its strategic objectives
·         Manage the employer remuneration policy to ensure fair compensation and benefits to staff.
·         Oversee the development and implementation of the employer’s training and development program.
·         Advise and assist management in its recruitment and staff exit management
·         General administrative duties
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or related field, Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management or a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management and at least 3 years continuous experience in human resources management
