About USAID Project:
Tetratech
International Services seeks to implement a USAID-funded Uganda Sanitation for
Health Activity. The project will work to increase household access to
sanitation and water services, and improve health through hygiene behavior
change campaigns in homes, schools and health facilities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the Private Sector Development Advisor USAID
    Project job placement must hold a Master’s degree in Business, Management,
    Economics, Finance, or related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in Business,
    Management, Economics, Finance and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of work
    experience in private sector or providing technical assistance to improve
    private sector performance, demonstrating increased level of
    responsibility.
  • At least ten years of experience in the private sector or providing
    technical assistance to improve private sector performance
  • Experience in small and medium enterprise (SME) development, with
    WASH SME experience preferred
  • WASH sector finance and micro-finance expertise, experience working
    within Uganda a plus
  • Creativity and entrepreneurial outlook
  • The ability to work in a multi—cultural, multi-ethnic environment
    with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential
    requirements.
  • Applicants with previous USAID experience are also encouraged.
