Job Title:  Project Manager (Several Positions)

Duty Station:  Jinja, Uganda

Reports to: Director -Projects

Excel Construction Ltd. is one of the leading players in the Ugandan Construction industry and operates nationally through their head office located at Plot 43-45 Eng. Zikusoka Way, Jinja. Excel construction Ltd was formed as a joint venture company between Muljibhai Madhvani and company and Gomba Construction Ltd in 1992.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Building works
• Man-Power management
• Quality and Value management
• Budgeting for materials
• Preparation of Material Requirement Schedules
• Preparation of budget for various activities in the project.
• Preparation / collection of BOQ based on actual drawings
• Preparing material requirement schedule, Checking material indent raised from site
• Preparation of monthly material reconciliation report for each site
• Responsible for collection of monthly progress reports and preparation of MIS report for each site.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in either Building or Civil Engineering
• Five years of relevant working experience and 3 years or more as a Project Manager in a construction company.
• UIPE registration will be an added advantage.
• All candidates must have computer knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and Autocad.
