About US:

The Uganda Hotel Owners’ Association (UHOA) is a trade and lobbying organisation that includes almost all of the nation’s hotels, lodges and camps among its members. UHOA has a membership of 450 members comprising hotels, lodges, Motels, B&Bs, Inns and camps among its members. UHOA is the biggest Hotel trade association in Uganda, with members hailing from different regions of Uganda. UHOA members range from five start hotels to ungraded facilities such as homes and camps.

 

Job Summary:   The Membership & Marketing Officer will provide top quality Service and support for the delight of all Members

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and List all Hotels and Accommodation properties in the country
  • Properly categorize the listed Hotel for fees and payments
  • Liaise with UTB and any other organisation for verification and/or Auditing for licensing purposes
  • Receive and expeditiously handle member complaints related to URA, Local & Central Government and some MDAs
  • Maintain a membership ledger and ensure full payment of annual membership fees
  • Organise and support Regional Directors on membership mobilization and trainings.
  • Ensure UHOA Website is continuously updated with the latest news, activities and events. Where possible link up member websites to UHOA
  • Manage all social media handles for the benefit of the members
  • Organise and carry out a customer satisfaction survey among members
  • Support ED & Board in organising an AGM
  • Organise Fundraising events.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The Membership & Marketing officer must have relevant qualifications
