Job Title:   Administrator – Activations (Customer Service Jobs)

Reports to: Supervisor – Provisions & Activations

MTN-Uganda is the leading telecommunications Company in Uganda, providing payphone, fixed lines, fax/data, internet and mobile services.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all authorized and vetted Customer requests for service are accurately and timely registered, provisioned and activated on the billing system.
  • To timely and accurately raise incidents or work orders for service requests that can’t be completed in the Billing system.
  • To make after sale service call to authenticate the provisioned services
  • To ensure that the correct billable services and tariffs are assigned during activation of new subscribers and provisioning of additional services.
  • Safely manage Client record files containing contracts and all subsequent Client communications.
  • Account for all S.I.M. card stock assigned and provisioned (in-active for postpaid) and all pre-activation equipment that may change from time to time depending on the business needs.
  • Sequentially and correctly file on a regular basis all client communication in respect to queries, requests in change of services, termination and any other correspondence related to Client’s services.
  • Regular audits of all services provisioned – weekly/monthly reconciliations
  • To liaise with internal customers (especially Sales Department personnel) to ensure ample and timely resolution of any external Customer affecting queries.
  • Timely and accurate daily, weekly, and monthly to monitor performance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the MTN Uganda Administrator – Activations job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Accounting or its equivalent)
  • At least four years of experience in a busy Customer environment – preferably a Telecom environment.
  • Knowledge of MTN Uganda Enterprise products and services.
  • Knowledge of MTN Uganda’s billing environment, DCLM, DCBS, SVP applications and ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A Customer service background with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A high sense of integrity with good planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of products & services
  • Team player, flexible with good communication skills.
  • High concentration and accuracy levels.
  • Trouble shooting & problem-solving skills.
