Job Title:  Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Program Associate (10 Job Opportunities)

About US:

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has received a grant from the Center for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) Cooperative Agreement (CoAg), a strategic mechanism of the United States Government (USG) to implement activities in line with its mandate in support of the Public health response to HIV/AIDS and other health systems. CDC will be supporting a pool of Human Resources that are expected to lead the implementation of the grant. The staff to be recruited under this grant will be contracted by the MOH. The contracts are for one (1) year renewable subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the staff

 

Job Summary: Supporting Program and Implementation at Regional and District Level; Support Supervision, Mentorship, Capacity Building, Performance Review Meetings, Advocacy

and Dialogue Meetings and Documenting Promising Experiences/Practices and Innovations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using the standard AGW support supervision document and conducting quarterly support supervision and developing reports.
  • Conducting mentorship and onsite coaching at District and Safe Space Level as guided by the AGYW program at National level.
  • Supporting the AGYW Regional, District and Safe Space Quality Improvement Teams, following up QI processes guided by the National QI Program.
  • Building capacity of IPs, Regional, District and Safe Space Service Providers on AGYW guidelines, service standards and updates of service delivery.
  • Documenting promising Practices and Innovations on AGYW implementation at Regional Level.

  • Supervision and Mentorship conducted.
  • Quality Improvement Performance activities supported.
  • Capacity Building activities carried out.
  • Documented Promising Practices and Innovations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold degree or an equivalent
  • At least five years’ experience working on AGYW implementation activities; support
  • supervision, mentorship and coaching, capacity building and quality improvement.
