Job Summary:  Our Client, a company duly incorporated in
Uganda, and in the business of facility man agreement, is looking a suitably
qualified person to fill the vacancy of ACCOUNTANT. .


Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides financial information to man agreement by researching and
    analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital ac count entries by compiling
    and analyzing account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information;
    preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by pre paring and recommending
    policies and procedures.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and
    answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing
    account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and
    interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Complies with government, and local financial legal requirements by
    studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements,
    and advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and
    summarizing account information and trends.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping
    financial information confidential.
  • Supplier and Customer Reconciliation
  • Bank loans accounting and reconciliation
  • Prepare and record all necessary journal entries
  • Preparation of monthly management account;
  • Data compilation for tax purposes
  • Filing URA tax returns, managing tax files and records


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in tax,
    accounting, or finance CPA or ACCA,
  • At least five years of experience in accounting/finance,
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements,
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different
    legal umbrellas,
  • Familiar with accounting softwares such as Quickbooks, tally,
    Freshbooks cloud accounting,
  • Experience in auditing is an added advantage.
