Job Title:        Assistant Accountant
Organization: Uganda Law Reform Commission (ULRC)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Senior Assistant Accountant
About US:
The Uganda Law Reform Commission is established under Article 248(1) of
the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda. Its primary mandate is to study and
keep under constant review the Acts and all other laws comprising the laws of
Uganda with a view to making recommendations for their systematic improvement,
development, modernisation and reform.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Receiving revenue and issuing receipts for
    record purposes;
  • Tasked with preparing books of accounts
    for purposes of accountability;
  • Banking revenue and carry out
    reconciliation on bank statements to iron out discrepancies;
  • Preparing financial reports and statements
    and forward them to the relevant authorities.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The Assistant Accountant should be
    Ugandans who have attained higher qualifications in any of the following
    disciplines from a recognised institution:-
  • A’ level with a Diploma in
    Accounts/Business Studies or their equivalent
  • Excellent accounting, computer and
    communication skills.
  • At least three years of working experience
    in Government or a reputable organisation.
  • Age:
    21 years and above
