Job Summary: The Manager
Corporate Social Investment will develop and implement a corporate social
investment plan of action based on the company’s CSI policy, strategy and
commitments towards the creation of a sustainable future.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • The incumbent will provide Stanbic Bank
    Uganda (SBU) with expertise in Corporate Social Investment (CSI)
    management and implementing the CSI policy
  • Translate the CSI strategy and CSI policy
    into actionable activities
  • Support the activities of such structures
    as may be established by the Board for the implementation of the CSI
    strategy and policy
  • Manage, track, monitor, and report on CSI
    and Employee Community Involvement (ECI) programmes
  • The incumbent will actively engage with
    business units and social partners to ensure the relevance and
    effectiveness of CSI programmes
  • Ensure that efficient systems and
    processes exist for the implementation of the CSI program
  • Be accountable for the co-ordination and
    management of SBU CSI
  • Oversee the engagement of the CSI unit
    with social partners
  • Oversee the efficient tracking,
    management, monitoring, reporting of the SBU CSI to the Executive Committe
    (EXCO) and Standard Bank Group
  • Oversee the development and implementation
    of the marketing and communications plans for CSI
  • Take overall responsibility for CSI and
    ECI reputation risk management within SBU and;
  • Take accountability for escalating any
    potential reputational risks to ExCo timeously.
  • Engage with Group CSI to ensure alignment
    with Group CSI Policy
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant for the Stanbic Bank Manager
    Corporate Social Investment job placement should hold a Master’s degree in
    a field such as philanthropic studies, social sciences, business or
    related field.
  • Certificate in Project management would be
    an added advantage.
  • At least ten years’ experience managing
    Corporate Social Responsibility/Investment for a large organisation.
  • Previous exposure and experience in the
    social or compliance field, social auditing process and its practical
    application.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong project management and organizational
    skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
    skills; ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to
    interact effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills;
    ability to consider and apply the right mix of knowledge, experience and
    creativity in decision-making.
  • Detail-oriented; ability to look at the
    fine details and extract salient points from large amounts of information.
  • Hands-on experience in managing processes
    and personnel; ability to provide the appropriate guidance to staff while
    maintaining processes at optimal efficiency.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple
    responsibilities while achieving high level results.
  • Immediate to high proficiency with
    Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Access, Project).
