Job Summary: The Head of
Production will be charged with the planning, coordination and control of all
manufacturing processes in the factory.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
Manage the production process through keen follow up
on the master production schedules, work order specifications and availability
or capability of workers, parts, materials and equipment.
Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance,
modification and procurement
The incumbent will ensure that standard operating
procedures are adhered to
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and
safety procedures
Ensure the implementation and enforcement of quality
control in the entire production processes
The incumbent will determine and implement
improvements to the production processes to cut costs, change management&
best practices
Actively monitor and review the performance of staff
and organize necessary interventions for improvement as well manage staff
disciplinary issues
Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination
between relevant departments including procurement, stores, maintenance and
The incumbent will also determine the man-power&
resource needs
Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QM, S GMP’s
and 5s processes.
Regularly monitor the production processes and
adjusting schedules as needed.
Perform any other work that may be assigned to from
time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
in Engineering, industrial technology, Analytical Chemistry.
At least six years’ knowledge in production and
manufacturing processes and techniques with three years supervisory experience
at a senior management position
Basic knowledge of NEMA /CGMP/UNBS/ ISO/TPM
regulatory requirements on occupational health and safety in manufacturing
Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines,
and stay within budget.
Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent
communication skills, influencing and networking relationship building and
Ability to work overtime and under pressure.
Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in Microsoft
office software and applications
