Job Title: Administration Officer
Location: Kotido
Purpose of the position: To develop and implement a plan for maintaining offices and office premises, reserve hotels, arrange internal and external flights and supervise transport department in line with WVU policies and regulations
Key Result Areas
·         Design, monitor the implementation of financial controls for administration department for efficient, effective and economic operations in Karamoja region in line with WVU mission.
·         Provide managerial and coordinating roles for office support services in the following areas:- Hospitality to visitors, Hotel and other reservations and Travel bookings in line with WVU mission
·         Monitor and implement the payment of office utility bills in line with WVU mission
design and implement procedures promoting cleanliness in WVU in line with WVU guidelines
·         Plan, monitor and implement the maintain ace of WVU vehicles and motorcycles in line with WVU policies
·         Nurture, mentor, coach and develop capacity of administration and transport staff into competent team
·         Design, implement and monitor security procedures to provide security to WVU property and staff in line with WVU security procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         University degree in management, development, or related field;
·         Requires at least 3 years work experience, preferably in a related field
·         Requires cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity.
·         Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards.
·         Able to represent WVU to major donors in a manner that is professional.
·         Requires excellent organizational and time management skills. Requires experience in project design and proposal writing.
·         Must have proven analytical/problem-solving abilities.
·         Requires excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
·         Requires English fluency, both written and spoken. Must be computer literate.
·         Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
