About Us:
Uganda Road Fund (URF) is a body corporate established by the Uganda
Road Fund Act 2008, to finance routine and periodic maintenance of public
roads.
Job Summary: The Team Leader
will manage the daily operations of his/her field team in order to ensure that
data collection is undertaken according to established guidelines in a timely
manner and that data from completed interviews is regularly transmitted to URF
Headquarters for processing.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Location of sampled roads on which
    interviews shall be undertaken;
  • Supervision of interviewers and
    enumerators;
  • Work in liaison with relevant local
    authorities involved in the survey;
  • Tasked with the management of field
    materials and logistics;
  • Responsible for the transmission of
    completed questionnaires to URF;
  • Attending to questionnaire edit failures.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Uganda Road
    Fund Team Leader career placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a
    relevant discipline from an officially recognized university.
  • Possession of a post graduate
    qualifications and computer certifications are an added advantage;
  • A minimum of two years’ experience of
    field based data collection in a supervisory role preferably in the roads
    sub-sector;
  • Computer literacy skills are mandatory
  • Ability to lead and influence others;
  • Ability to innovate and work under
    pressure in order to meet tight deadlines; and
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Ability to cope with unpredictable field
    conditions
  • Excellent communication skills.
