curriculum into Uganda’s national education system to reach 25,000 students

Job Summary: The Educate!
Program Coordinator will actively support a team of District school Program
Officers across the Northern region. The Program Coordinator will join the
Program Manager and support Educate! across 7 Community Units in Northern
Uganda.

Officers across the Northern region. The Program Coordinator will join the
Program Manager and support Educate! across 7 Community Units in Northern
Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Program School Oversight:
- Lead the northern region on school
partnerships and support program officers in the areas of partner school
relationships. - Manage the northern database of partner
schools and 2015 school recruitment activities.
2. Community Unit Oversight;
- Manage the budget for Northern region.
- Oversee 7 program officers directly.
- Offer timely technical support in key
program partnerships in the northern region. - Carry out program monitoring to inform
program design and strategy.
Program Reporting:
- Oversee the northern team in program
reporting according to key indicators. - Work closely with the M&E team and
program officers to run effective monitoring systems, carrying out staff
appraisal for direct reports. - Send bi-monthly reports for northern
region.
4. Financial Logistical
Management:
Management:
- Approve all field expenses for northern
region. - Guide the Program Manager on budget
allocation. - Ensure the regions logistical needs are
met sufficiently.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should exhibit a
passion for working with young people; - A minimum of three years’ work experience,
two of which in program management; - Possess strong organizational skills and
excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Past experience working with schools or in
the education sector is preferred. - Foster a high-performance culture through
motivating and supporting a team of talented individuals. - The incumbent should be highly proactive
and excited to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment - Be a problem-solver who can manage new and
unexpected challenges - Working knowledge of principles of program
management and communication. - Exhibit commitment to the professional
development of him/herself and his/her team - Believe that Youth Drive Everything
