About IDinsight:
IDinsight
is an international development consulting organization that helps policymakers
and managers make socially impactful decisions using rigorous evaluation
methodologies. The purpose of this position is to assist IDinsight with the
administration and management of a survey-based evaluation, assessing the
impact of the Solar Home System, an innovative new solar lighting system, on
various outcomes such as energy consumption, income, student’s learning
outcomes, and health. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The
scope and emphasis of the position responsibilities may change over time; new
responsibilities may be added and existing ones dropped or modified as
required.
1. Survey Administration:
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to study
    protocol
  • Administer survey to study participants
  • Follow sampling protocol exactly
2. Logistics:
  • One-on-one interactions with local
    leaders to explain the study
  • Secure permissions from local governments
    to conduct study
  • Communicate (in English) regularly with
    Associate and Team Leaders
  • Attend weekly IDinsight evaluation team
    meeting
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The applicant should possess a University
    graduate
  • One year of survey work experience
  • The Field Enumerators must have
    experience in conducting interviews in the field.
  • The Field Enumerator must be comfortable
    interacting with respondents in rural areas and local leaders.
  • Extremely well-organized and
    self-motivated
  • Ability to understand and explain complicated
    concepts in English
  • Lusoga language fluency required, Luganda
    language fluency preferred
  • Experience in rural field work, with
    knowledge of the East-Central and Eastern Regions
  • Survey data collection and coordination
  • Working with local governments
  • Ability to follow survey instructions
  • Problem-solving and communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow specific written
    protocols

Employment Terms:
  • Starts in early January
  • Competitive monthly salary, including per
    diem for days in the field
