client-centred services to men, women and young people. Our 340 team members
work in every district of Uganda and provide approximately 35% of all modern
contraception, the majority of which is delivered in hard to reach and remote
areas. In 2012, MSU generated over 1.1 million Couple Years of Protection and
provided quality services to over 350,000 Ugandans.

Technology Head position whose main role is to solve problems in a multi-server
environment, through a variety of software systems and applications in accordance
with the Standard Operating Procedures, Donor compliance regulations,
deadlines, contractual targets and budgets

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating
and supervising multiple systems to work in unison, either internally or
throughout a prescribed network of external platforms. - Analyzes
existing systems for efficiency and recommends upgrades and design
changes. - Develop
budgets to accommodate the technological communication needs of various
departments and service areas. - Offer
guidance to the team and motivates the team. - Clearly
communicate Information System strategies to Senior Management and technically
to vendors and team. - Create,
implement and support the country program - Draft
an IS strategic plan within a time line and budget - Clearly
do communications with multiple managers to facilitate identifying issues
and developing logical, cost-effective solutions. - Oversee
the security efforts to prevent breaches from hackers, and to keep data
and confidential information safe. - Interface
with management to report on IT activities and return on investment
analysis for systems expenditures.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
applicant should hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science - Skills
set should include business analysis, system analysis and technical skills
(networking or programming). - Possession
of a master’s degree in a related field is a plus. - Three
to Five years’ experience in ICT management. - A
thorough knowledge of software, hardware and LAN (local area network)
integration is necessary.
Ability to work with remote teams
Demonstrated technical oral, written, and editing abilities; ability to
present and write influentially for multiple audiences - The
ability to manage vendors and monitor task. - Management
of a team is essential.
Ability to satisfy stakeholders
He / She should be able to work in deadline driven/results orientated
atmospheres - Able
to think strategically and a good planner - Able
to manage and motivate teams to achieve targets and to achieve
organisational change.
