• Develop, produce and present periodic
  financial reporting statements for the Company, for both internal and
  external requirements.
• Adhere to the company accounting policies,
  practices, procedures, the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  and other legal/statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Assist in designing, documenting,
  implementing and monitoring the appropriate internal controls to deliver
  sound financial management.
• Manage receivables and payables.
• You will partner with the Operations Manager,
  and the Marketing team on issues related to financial analysis and
  projections.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset
  Register.
• Provide periodic key insights into the
  condition of business, cash flow positions and investment portfolios.
• Ensure costs are within approved budget.
• The Accountant will also be involved in
  preparation of annual budgets.
• Arrange and co-ordinate annual audits with
  external auditors within the time frame as required by the regulatory
  bodies.
• Perform any other related official duties
  as may be assigned by the Financial Controller.
  
  
  
  

• The Accountant should possess a University
  degree in Finance and /or Accounting.
• Five or years experience in a senior
  management financial experience.
  Additional Professional Accounting qualification prerequisite (Full CPA
  and / or ACCA).
• MBA in Finance and /or accounting is an
  added advantage.
• Demonstrates experience in financial
  governance.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the
  Insurance environment within and outside Uganda.
