Job Summary:  Oversee maintenance of press and auxiliary equipment in the plant, install and commission all new equipment and liaise with all service providers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure general maintenance and repair of press and equipment is carried out as per schedule.
  • Develops and execute preventative maintenance plans for the company press and auxiliary equipment
  • Management of maintenance staff. Participates in performance reviews capacity gap analysis and formal staff development initiatives.
  • Work with the pre-press, press and engineering teams to resolve all maintenance issues with minimal downtime.
  • Supervise the CAPEX engineering projects implementation
  • Uphold Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and requirements.
  • Keep  maintenance records of all company equipment
  • Oversee effective use of hand and power forklifts.
  • Assist in building capacities of staff in using equipment and groom them in the best practices.
  • Liaise with all outside contractors to ensure return in investment and parity with HSE standards.
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Basic university degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Engineer registration board certificate
  • At least 5 years working experience in an engineering supervisory role
  • A strong appreciation of printing and publications business
  • Results-oriented
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Superior troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to work past normal work schedule
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Team management capabilities
  • Excellent Organisational Skills
