Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing advice on management of the institutional buildings and
assets; - Maintaining the Ministry’s properties, buildings and establishing a
system for proper management; - Periodically inspecting the institutional properties so as to
ascertain their condition and making arrangement for repairs and
renovations; - Compiling and keeping up-to-date register of the institutional
properties and assets; - Participating in acquisition of institutional land and registration;
- Participating in evaluation of the Ministry’s properties;
- Managing the Ministry’s infrastructure, buildings and compound;
- Overseeing the security of the Ministry’s estates;
- Preparing work plans and budgets for proper management of the
estates; - Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours
Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (Civil) or related qualifications in
Estates Management from a recognized Institution. - Ethics and integrity; interpersonal, communication and computer
skills; ability to adapt to multi cultural settings; effective
organizational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
innovation and concern for results, quality and standards. - Age: Below 21 years
