Job Title:   Graduate Intern – Content and Communications (No Experience Jobs)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain engaging and informative content for all SynBio Africa websites other digital platforms.
• Ensure all website content is accurate, current, consistent and aligns with SynBio Africa’s brand standards.
• Work closely with SynBio Africa community to enhance our online presence.
• Develop and promote compelling content that highlights our initiatives and achievements.
• Develop and manage monthly and weekly content calendars.
• Determine optimal posting times and strategies to maximize engagement.
• Assist in drafting and distributing internal communications, such as newsletters, memos, and announcements.
• Support the development of external communications, including press releases, reports, and promotional materials.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including partners, donors, and media, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and maintain a database of key contacts and stakeholders for streamlined communication efforts.
• Assist in promoting and providing coverage for SynBio Africa events, both online and offline.
• Create event-related content, including pre-event promotions and post-event summaries.
• Ensure all communications reflect SynBio Africa’s brand identity and values.
• Monitor and manage the organization’s online reputation and address any public relations issues promptly.
• Prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in communications, marketing, business administration, website development or any other related field from a recognized university.
