  • Woodco (u) ltd for treated poles and timber using hydraulic pressure treatment plant.
  • Usta Nalwadda Millers for maize flour and bran supply.
  • Tim Concrete (U) Ltd for concrete products like pavers, hollow and solid blocks.
  • Saw Milling/Carpentry workshop for construction and furniture manufacture.

 

Job Summary:  The Business Development Manager (Sales and Marketing)

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

This includes driving business growth, developing development plans and forecasting sales targets and growth projections, as well as reviewing and recommending new processes, and solving any errors or inconsistencies.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development Manager roles

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Provide timely updates of work planning, work in progress, and summaries of work completed, records observations, makes recommendations
  • Recommend improvements in processes, people, systems and structures, to reduce waste and continuously improve performance
  • Assists process owners in the development and deployment of processes for the purpose of encouraging process improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal and external business stakeholders/partners to drive quality mind-set and continuous improvements
  • Ensure the effective execution and/or follow up of CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Action) and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
  • Define Kwewayo Group’s reputation: Oversee and manage performance and service quality to guarantee customer satisfaction
  • Provide guidance and trains colleagues, provides oversight to one or more junior sales staff
  • Interrogate trends in data/sales findings and develop new ideas for quality improvements




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferably with sales and Marketing specialisation.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations, sales and marketing in FMCG or manufacturing company
  • Knowledge of legal and financial systems, documentation and record
  • Attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking, analysis, teamwork.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Computer literate and with hands on experience.
  • High standards of integrity.
  • Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good planning, time management and prioritizing skills.
