Job Summary:   The Treasury Sales Officer aims to facilitate successful transactions by selling bank securities to potential investors. The Investment Officer, plays a pivotal role in creating an efficient due diligence process and identifying investment-worthy enterprises. The Job holder serves as an in-house expert, conducting initial diagnostic assessments and evaluations to identify suitable enterprises/clients

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understand clients’ financial needs and provide appropriate fixed income solutions.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about fixed income products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Educate clients on various fixed income instruments offered by the bank.

Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve fixed income sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling fixed income products.

Market Analysis:

  • Monitor financial markets, economic indicators, and interest rate movements.
  • Analyze market conditions to provide timely and relevant advice to clients.

Deal Execution:

  • Execute fixed income transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate with trading desks and other internal teams to ensure seamless deal execution.

Documentation:

  • Prepare and review necessary documentation for fixed income transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Risk Management:

  • Assess and manage risks associated with fixed income transactions.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies as needed.

Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports on fixed income sales performance.
  • Provide updates to management on market developments and client interactions.

Customer Service:

  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research, trading, and compliance.
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve overall treasury and bank objectives.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such ACI will be an added advantage.
  • At least three years of experience in Treasury FI sales, investment banking is required.
  • Previous experience in providing business advisory services is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to deliver and communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly, and in a compelling manner.
  • Deeply curious and excited to engage with a variety of stakeholders including policymakers, investors, Development Financial Institutions -DFIs, and more
