About US:

Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act. UEDCL owns the 33KV and below voltage electricity distribution networks and all the operational assets associated with the business currently leased to Umeme Ltd. The company monitors Umeme Ltd and other Concessionaires in Uganda, directly distributes of power in Ten (10) territories covering over 86 rural and border districts, operates a modern pole plant at Lugogo, and executes key rural electrification schemes on behalf of Government of Uganda.

 

Job Summary:   UEDCL is seeking a Graphics and Content Production Officer who possesses exceptional organizational abilities, is creative, has great communication skills, and manages their time well. From the beginning, this person will support ongoing marketing campaigns and help create new ones that are in line with the objectives of the business and its clients. A background in a variety of marketing disciplines, such as communications, branding, graphic design, photography, digital marketing, and social media, is suitable for the position. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized multitasker with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and adhere to strict deadlines. Working with team members from different departments and having strong organizational and attention to detail are prerequisites for this role.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the completion of assigned projects and prioritize assigned tasks including web updates, social media, graphic design, photography, videography, signage, and brand research.
  • Create/maintain/update materials including, marketing flyers, brochures, fact sheets/profile/s, and corporate reports.
  • Develop and manage content and social media marketing programs with respect to the token identifier project ongoing across the service territories.
  • Assist with planning of promotional campaigns with respect to the token identifier project following the project rollout schedule
  • Implement the company-wide rebranding strategy
  • Performs special projects as requested
  • Plus, Other duties as assigned.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial graphics and design or mass communication.
  • Two to five years of demonstrable experience in Graphics and content production
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Graphics Suite & other designing software.
  • Skilled Graphic Designer
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with different teams
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
