Job Summary:  The Business Analyst will work alongside project teams to perform detailed requirements analysis, document processes and perform user acceptance testing for improved business operations by developing and monitoring data quality metrics and ensuring business data and reporting needs are met.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation, supervision and review of concept notes, pre-qualification documents, expression of interest documents and proposals.
  • Track and follow up to ensure that all submissions are made ahead of time.

Key Tasks:

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; documenting specifications.
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems; recommending improved procedures.
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project teams; establishing project budgets.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activities; solving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models.
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of client groups.
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
  • Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required and present findings of studies to client committees.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
  • Review a variety of areas including operations, purchasing, inventory, distribution and facilities.
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.
  • Suggest changes to management using analytics to support your recommendations.
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate on-going or one-time operational issues.
  • Other Responsibilities: Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Business-related field.
  • Master’s degree in relevant field/Professional course is an added advantage.
  • Three years of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience working in a consulting firm is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of project delivery.
  • Experience working with a consulting firm is an added advantage.
  • Sound business acumen and commercial awareness.

  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Applications and Microsoft 365.
