About US:

The Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES) is a Center of Excellence located in the College of Health Sciences at Makerere University. The Center is built on work that was begun almost a decade ago, in 2010, with an aim of supporting policy and decision making with high quality, relevant and timely evidence.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The incumbent MUST have a relevant bachelor’s degree, such as a Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration, and specialization in either accounting, grants management, or finance management.
  • The incumbent MUST have a professional accounting certificate or is in progress, such as ACCA or CPA.
  • The incumbent should have evidence of the progress and plan to complete the certificate within two years.
  • The incumbent MUST have demonstrable experience of at least three (3) years working in similar institutional settings, coordinating reporting with different donors, and supporting research teams before and after the grant awards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Results-oriented
  • Integrity
  • Ability to work with small and large teams.

 

Desired

  • A relevant master’s degree or postgraduate training, such as business management administration, management sciences, project management, or a similar field, will be an added advantage.
  • A postgraduate diploma or certificate in grants management, project management, and or business law.
