Job Summary: The Project Officer will support CCDT phase 2 (CCDT+) Project implementation in Palorinya refugee settlements. The position involves implementation CCDT+ project in collaboration with TPO Uganda ensuring the activities are implemented in compliance with CCDT+ Protocol, War Child policies and standards; monitoring and reporting on activities implemented; including concerns identified.

 

Objectives of the job

  • Plan/ organize, conduct and document activities according to the approved Research Protocol, and the War Child Holland methodology and standard.
  • Support the gate keepers in learning on the job.
  • Report on activities implemented and concerns identified
  • Ensure accurate data collection and reporting.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Supporting CCDT+ implementation in Palorinya settlement;

  • Identification and selection of community gate keepers from the existing networks
  • Organise training of the community gate keepers
  • Mentorship of gatekeepers to achieve quality results and accurate data
  • Support in conducting bi-weekly supervision meetings to improve quality of identification and monitor ethical and safe implementation of CCDT+.
  • Collection of logbooks from gate keepers
  • Data entry and upload on the secure R& D server
  • Actively participate in weekly planning and review meetings at field level.
  • Ensure Serious Advance Events and concerns are identified by the gate keepers and immediately reported to the Team Leader and child safeguarding focal person.
  • Responsible and accountable for assigned project assets during project life span.
  • Ensures that child safeguarding and protection procedures are adhered to in location of implementation of project activities
  • Submits regular and timely reports to the TL on progress towards outputs as well as challenges and successes.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the TL in fulfillment of the tasks.
