Job Summary:  As our Ingredient Sales Prospector, you will report to the Director of Sales and work closely with our strategic partners. You will be responsible for supporting the strategy for prospecting new accounts, generating sales leads, pitching our products, and guiding them through their purchase process. You will help the growth of our business by being persuasive and ready to go the extra mile to ensure customer acquisition as well as satisfaction.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be prepared to attend sales meetings and report on analytics and KPIs.
  • Use lead generation tools to qualify contacts and enroll them into our CRM platform.
  • Find new sales leads that we could potentially sell to based on our target audience and fit
  • Use prospecting tools to find contacts in order to acquire new sales accounts
  • Document prospect contact and organization information in the Sales Account tracker & CRM platform
  • Research trade shows and events where our brands could attend to meet and sell to buyers
  • Research the competition to identify sales account opportunities
  • Track sales progress and analyze sales goals to report the KPIs to the Director of Sales
  • Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review.
  • Self-improve continuously by way of experience and manager feedback.
  • Any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of at least 6 months of employment history (not necessarily continuous).
  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or similar business administration degree with a minimum of 2 academic years of education.
  • Excellent relationship building and English communication skills (written, oral and digital).
  • Demonstrated compassion and empathy, strong work ethic and unimpeachable integrity.
  • Readiness and ability to regularly perform under pressure and within short timeframes.
  • Desire to be proactive and support other team members by reducing their workload.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer applications including cloud-based software.
  • Highly creative with a hunger for innovation and are natural born problem solvers.
  • Motivated by a passion to make the world a better place and love to take on challenges.
  • Servant leaders who help to build the team and take on whatever role is necessary.
  • Eager to learn and thrive in the fast-paced “fail fast, fail often” startup culture we embody.
