Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General Management of the Utilities department.
  • Direct Reporting to the Maintenance Manager over all issues from the section.
  • To oversee and coordinate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Health Practices (GHPs) within the department.
  • Coordinate the team for teamwork in quick problem troubleshooting and rectification to minimize machine downtime and ensure Maximum Efficiency.
  • Ensure Energy Conservation to minimize costs and maximize profits.
  • Coordinate the team to ensure Documentation and all department Record keeping.
  • Identify and Plan the necessary trainings required by the department Staff and liaison with the Maintenance Manager for Implementation




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least five years Hands-on experience in Utility machines like high-pressure comp. (40 bar), Chillers, Boilers.
  • Leadership skills to lead a team of 50 or more technicians.
  • Expert in troubleshooting and diagnose of problems in Utility
  • Proven Leadership ability
  • Good understanding of Manufacturing Way practices
  • Good understanding of Asset Care principles
  • Team Player Quick learner
  • Good attitude
  • Innovative
  • Effective Planning ability
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Time management skills;
  • Ability to conceptualize, research, digest, analyses and present material clearly and concisely;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and respect;
  • Polite but assertive and ability to work on own initiative;
  • Honesty, integrity, trustworthy and reliability;
  • Follow up ability and attention to detail;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks and to work extra hours to meet deadlines;
  • Prioritizing and multitasking ability.
  • Understands Performance Management principles and HR practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
