Job Summary: The Fire Extinguisher & Panels Servicing Engineer/Technician will be responsible for creating plans and schedules for reaching our clients to service fire extinguishers and fire panels. Draw methods and teams to arrange them for various clients and respond to emergencies.
The incumbent will inspect buildings for clients to determine faults in fire panels and then devise best ways to service and repair them. Inspects buildings and homes to determine fire hazards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create methods for repairing fire prevention equipment eg fire panels and fire alarms Inspect buildings of clients, homes for dangerous fire hazards and then draw plans
- resolve them.
- Carry out installation of new fire alarms, fire panels, smoke detectors and smoke alarms.
- Conduct installation of automatic fire suppression systems
- Conduct repair, servicing and maintenance of automatic fire suppression systems.
- Study dangerous processes or materials and create safety measures for handling them.
- Training other staff in servicing repair and maintenance of fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire panels etc
- Generate servicing reports
- Inspect buildings for insurance purposes to determine causes of fire. Design and install fire safety equipment.
- Hold training sessions on fire protection and prevention.
- Design fire detection equipment, alarm systems, and fire extinguishing devices.
- Identify potential fire hazards in buildings, such as water supplies, exit locations, and construction materials.
- Research methods to extinguish fires and ignition sources. Advise on how to extinguish large-scale fires.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The best candidate should hold a diploma in Electrical/Mechanical engineering
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering is an added advantage
- Minimum of one year of experience
- Preferably looking for some who has worked in a fire serving company
