Job Summary:
The Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing financial and
administrative support for WPDI program in the Karamoja sub-region to ensure
cost effectiveness and bookkeeping.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·       
Ensuring
that the funds allocated to programs and administration in Karamoja are spent
in full accordance with the directives provided by the Finance and
Administrative Officer and Country Coordinator and in line with WPDI financial
and procurement policies and procedures for field offices.

·       
Developing,
maintaining, and implementing a filing system for financial and transactional
information regarding the WPDI projects in the Karamoja sub- region;

·       
Ensuring
expenses related to vendors, suppliers, and staff reimbursements are accounted
for, verified, processed, and paid;

·       
Ensuring
funds are properly disbursed to specific projects supported by WPDI in
Karamoja;

·       
Collecting
receipts and processing monthly expense reports with respect to the Project
bank account;

·       
Verifying,
preparing, and sending to the Finance and Administrative Officer and Country
Coordinator periodic financial reports for projects being implemented by WPDI
in Karamoja;

·       
Preparing
any payroll documentation, tax filings or administrative processes that are
required in Uganda;

·       
Report
to the Finance and Administrative Officer and the Country Coordinator on the
sick leave and annual leave taken by each employee in Karamoja and ensure that
they follow WPDI’s conditions and procedures;

·       
Providing
administrative support for staff and WPDI activities in the Karamoja sub-region

·       
Such
other services as needed from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant
must hold a Degree level of education in Business administration and
management, accounting and at least 4-6 years of work experience directly
related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

·       
Proven
ability to work efficiently, under pressure, and in multicultural environment

·       
Diploma
level of education in Office management or relevant field

·       
Two to
three years of work experience directly related to the duties and
responsibilities specified.

·       
Proven
ability to work efficiently, under pressure, and in multicultural environment

·       
Good team
player

·       
Ability to
work with a diverse team of youth, communicate with sensitivity and respect

·       
Language:
Excellent written and spoken English, Ngakarimojong, Pokot and Leb Thur
