About US:

The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives
and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and
gain control of their future. It was created by Albert Einstein more than 80
years and has been working in Uganda since 1998. It has particularly working in
the conflict zones where tens of thousands of people have been kills and over
1.6 million displaced. Following a peace agreement in 2006, Ugandans are
returning home and looking to rebuild their lives. The IRC is there to protect
women and children from violence and exploitation by fostering a safe
environment and encouraging education, and is supporting farmers and small
businesses, and helping communities promote peace and long-term development.

About Project:

IRC is implementing a Health project with an Integrated
Immunization and Family Planning Service Delivery Model in Moroto. The project
has a combined service provision model for family planning and immunization –
services that is co-located and available to all women on the same day. The
International Rescue Committee in collaboration with the London School of
Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Pfizer Foundation, are evaluating an
intervention that integrates family planning and immunization services within
health facilities and in communities.

About Project:

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Works with other health workers to update all
appropriate registers

·        
Ensure proper storage/filling of forms in
designated places

·        
Tracks file/form movements between care centers

·        
Carries out proper logging in of files/forms
received

·        
Cross checks entered data to ensure data quality
and completeness

·        
Runs inconsistence programs and makes edits as
appropriate

·        
Reports any errors and malfunctions in data and
computer

·        
Makes routine backups at scheduled intervals

·        
Requisitions for registers and ensuring that
they are in constant supply

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The applicant must hold a Certificate in records
management, Computer literate in MS Office Applications and Experience in Data
or records management added advantage

·        
At least one year of working experience in a
related field

·        
Previous work with an NGO in similar programs.

·        
Remains productive when under pressure.

·        
Ability to enhance good interpersonal
relationship.

·        
Good communication skills.

·        
A good command of both written and spoken
English. Knowledge of the Ngakarimojong.

·        
Relates and works well with people of different
cultures, gender and backgrounds.

·        
Flexibility and prepared to work additional
hours

·        
Ability to work both independently and as part
of a team

·        
Able to respond rapidly to changing
environments, yet remain productive and focused;

·        
Strong and fast computer skills (primarily Word,
Excel, and Power Point and outlook).
