beneficiaries around the world.
Job Summary:  The Team Leader will be responsible for the
overall implementation of ARC Mental Health and Psychosocial Services (MHPSS)
and Livelihoods programming in Kyaaka II Refugee. They will also be ARC’s focal
point person for all activities conducted in the settlement. 
This will include
providing day-to-day supervision and oversight of MHPSS, Livelihoods, and
Administrative / Operations team members, with a potential for expanded
supervisory capacity as program portfolio expands. He/she will provide
leadership and management support to the field team to allow for efficient
program implementation. He/she will work closely with the Senior Program
Coordinator and sector Technical Coordinators on program implementation
planning and development (new project designing, concept note preparation and
project proposal development and budgeting). The Team Leader will represent ARC
at site- level working groups, and engage with District, OPM, and other
government and non-government stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the American Refugee Committee (ARC) Team
    Leader job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Program Management,
    Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field;
  • Post graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management.
  • At least two (2) years’ relevant field experience, preferably in
    refugee or conflict settings;
  • Prior experience working at the community level, with thorough
    understanding of implementing programmes d that takes advantage of
    community level capacities
  • Evident history of leadership and mentorship of teams
  • Proven understanding of basic Operational and Financial best
    practices applicable in humanitarian response settings, and willingness /
    ability to learn on the job on an expedited timeline.
  • Critical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to promote teamwork.
