Uganda Airlines is the National Carrier of the Republic of Uganda based at Entebbe International Airport. It is headquartered in Entebbe, Wakiso District, Uganda, and operates from its hub in Entebbe International Airport. 

Job Summary:  The Ticketing Agent will be responsible for providing customer service in terms of ticketing, reservations and other products to generate sales. He/she is responsible for ensuring satisfactory Sales and Ticketing service. He/she will be responsible for the daily operations of the airline Ticket Office, including processing ticket requests for walk-in customers and over the phone. He/she will report to the Manager Sales or Station Manager or Supervisor depending on the airline arrangements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Carry out reservations and ticketing activities and serve customers to generate sales.
  • Provide the best applicable fare quotes to airline clients.
  • Solicit, recruit and nurture prospective clients to win business and retain loyalty.
  • Print and reconcile sales returns to account for daily sales.
  • Actively promote all Uganda Airlines products to create awareness and generate sales.
  • Promote direct or telephone sales so as to reduce distribution costs.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Ticketing Agent job placement must hold a Diploma in Ticketing (IATA/UFTAA) basic airline fares.
  • Advanced certificate of Education ('A' Level).
  • Excellent knowledge of airline products and ticketing processes.
  • Certificate in marketing and sales will be of added advantage.
  • Pleasant and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Customer focused and able to work within a team.
  • Self- confident and well groomed.
  • Organized with high level of ethics and integrity.
