Job Summary: The Fleet
Management and Logistics Assistant (FMLA) will undertake Fleet Management of
all CEFORD Mobile/Movable Assets (Vehicles, Motorcycles, Generators, Solar, Photocopiers
etc. The incumbent will initiate, Maintain up-to-date Vehicle maintenance
schedules. The Fleet Management and Logistics Assistant will also enforce
implementation of Asset Management policies and procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible
    for selecting and maintaining vehicles in order to keep deliveries,
    distribution of goods and services and implementation of activities on
    schedule and within its established budget.
  • Undertake
    vehicle hire where demand exceeds the available fleet of vehicles
  • Responsible
    for impeccable (Correct and Accurate) records.
  • Assess
    regularly the usefulness of the vehicles for possible disposal and
    replacement in accordance with CEFORD Asset policy and procedures.
  • Responsible
    for setting up maintenance schedules for each vehicle to keep it in sound
    condition.
  • Identify
    service providers and negotiate favorable service and repair charges
  • Ensure
    drivers are reliable and shift in reporting faults for action
  • Responsible
    for Public relations and customer search.
  • Design
    training programmes for driver on relevant procedures
  • Promptly
    deal with relevant correspondence and maintain an efficient system for all
    data
  • To
    contribute to CEFORD Policy development as and when appropriate
  • Undertake
    any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post
    as required by the Finance Manager.
