About Us:
African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a
non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making
organization with the main aim of protecting and seeking durable solutions for
Refugees and IDPs in Africa in partnership with UNHCR the UN refugee agency.
Job Summary: The Surveyor
will be planning and coordinating a comprehensive construction surveys to
establish lines and grades within the construction site
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Tasked with coordinating comprehensive
    Roads and other civil constructions surveys to establish lines and grades
    within the construction site.
  • Making exact measurements and determine
    property boundaries.
  • The jobholder will also prepare or
    supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and
    documents related to surveys.
  • Routinely inspects to ensure that proper
    compliance with construction specifications is adhered to.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the AIRD Surveyor
    job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with/or
    Diploma in Road/ Infrastructure Surveyoring or Bachelors’ degree in Land
    surveying and geometries or any other related qualification with emphasis
    in surveying OR BS. Civil Engineering with/or Diploma in Road Surveying
  • At least three years’ experience in the
    Roads & Infrastructure field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
    skills.
  • Excellent leadership, motivational and
    presentation skills. Willingness to work in any part of the country.
  • Works well under pressure and able to be
    up to the deadlines
  • Good computer skills
