About MSC: 
The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a linchpin of Government
of Uganda
(GOU) micro credit programmes under the Rural Financial Services
Strategy. MSC facilitates access to affordable, sustainable and convenient
financial and Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans.
MSC Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain
namely; production, value addition and marketing enterprises.
Job Summary: The
Registry Officer (RO) will also be responsible for developing and implanting an
efficient records management system for the Company.
Key Duties &
  • Develop, Implement, review and update the
    records/ Registry user manual for effective records management.
  • Receiving, filing and directing
    correspondences received for action.
  • Provide safe storage and backup of all
    the company records.
  • Manage records archive processes from the
    registry to the records centre or Archives.
  • Develop a system for easy retrieval of
    records for action.
  • Compiling and analyzing records relating
    to Company activities, assets and personnel for guidance to Officers.
  • Responsible for postage of mails or
  • Provide support to the department and
    zonal office in setting up records management system.
  • Prepare and conduct an annual records
    Audit and census for smooth running of records.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by

  • Effective and records and registry
    process and procedures.
  • Safety of all records in the registry.
  • Timely reporting on all aspects in the
Qualifications, Skills &
  • The candidate should hold a Degree
    (Honours) in Records Management, Library and information science or
    Business administration, Social sciences, Public Administration with a
    post Graduate diploma in records management.
  • Two years of working experience in
    records /documentation management from a reputable company
  • A certificate in records management will
    be desirable.
  • Computer literacy is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with
    creativity, flexibility and assertiveness.
  • Skills in leadership and team building.
Age: Between
25 -40 years.
