UBL:

UBL operates in a landlocked region with high competition in terms of product
quality and cost. 70% of its inputs are imported. To meet these challenges,
provision of an unbroken chain of materials/components/finished products for
manufacture goods/sale on time for the customer base. The role is charged with
timely release of requirements to internal customers, ensuring that the
requirements are delivered on time to the company using the correct carrier.


Job
Summary:
·        
The
applicant will Define and execute materials planning strategy, with linkage to
company strategy.
·        
Monitor
KPI’s of virtual inbound chain for accurate delivery forecasts, zero tolerance
to demurrage
·        
Develop
and manage policy and procedures which ensure UBLs full compliance of
customs/border regulations as well as other regulations.

Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
·        
Material
Planning and delivery- scheduling, validation and implementation of company’s
material requirement strategy for raw materials and components.
·        
Imports
Coordination-managing the necessary documentation for the efficient, cost
effective and lawful execution of all import activities. S/he will also work
closely with different departments for inbound logistics strategy.
·        
Externally,
the incumbent works with local/overseas suppliers, customs authorities and
ensure total control over the supply chain from point of origin to plant, while
ensuring the best total value.


Key
Result Areas:
·        
Planning,
scheduling, control and forecasting of materials and products requirement, to
meet company objectives and internal customer requirements.
·        
Managing
and directing the entire inbound logistics process for raw/pack materials,
finished goods (Beer and spirits) POS, spare parts and any other imports.
·        
 Effective Risk Management and governance of
all suppliers and service within the category
·        
Build
key relationships for value with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
·        
Lead
the business regarding developments in customs and border policies.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·        
The
applicant should hold a BBA, B com or related field.
·        
A
Post graduate Diploma in Logistics is an added advantage.
·        
A
minimum of five ears experience with FMCG’s procurement.
·        
CIPS
added advantage.
SAP Training/understanding.
·        
Good
communication, negotiation skills, ability to analyse financial and technical
data and a solid understanding of supply chain management.
·        
Good
decision making and planning.
·        
Extensive
knowledge in customs/border regulations.
