About FOC-REV:
Friends of Christ Revival (FOC-REV) Ministries Uganda is a
non-governmental, nonprofit making, non -political, inter-denominational
charitable organization that was established in 1999 by a group of volunteers
as a response to a crisis caused by HIV &AIDS and poverty in rural
communities in Uganda. Our development programs focuses mainly on social
mobilization and policy advocacy work addressing issues of gender inequality
and women’s rights, food security and livelihood, orphan care and support, HIV
& AIDS and its impact on education and other social, economic and cultural
inequalities and injustices. Our approach emphasizes community based care for
supporting marginalized groups
Job Summary: The Finance and Administration Officer will ensure
that FOC-REV adheres to all its grant financial management obligations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the project/grant reports are
    accurate and timely and they are provided to the Finance and
    Administration Manager on a timely manner for further review and
    submission to the management and donors/ partners.
  • Support the Finance and Administration
    Manager in monitoring budgets, project reporting and identify issues as
    they arise and to propose appropriate preventative interventions and
    solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that the payroll data is timely and
    accurately processed and the payroll reports generated and submitted to
    the management for payment authorization on monthly basis,
  • Ensure that FOC-REV finance and
    procurement policies are uniformly applied by all FOC-REV Programs, in
    close liaison with Finance and Administration Manager, Program Manager,
    and Program Officer ensures that we comply with donor rules and
    regulations,
  • Support staff and managers to comply with
    accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Provide financial & grant management
    support to assigned Project staff,
  • Ensure the timely preparation and
    retention of documentation to facilitate the annual external audit, donor
    audits, internal audits and revenue audits.
  • Ensure the smooth running of financial
    disbursement and accountability
  • Ensure that statutory payments are made
    and filed on time,
  • Carry out field visits to conduct
    trainings and address any financial & grant management issues.
 Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should possess a good
    bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and CPA/ACCA level
  • Possess at least three years’ experience
    in a financial management & grant reporting position.
  • Prior experience of working with WFP.
    DFID, USAID, GOAL and other International agencies grants will be an added
    advantage
  • The prospective FOC-REV should be mature,
    qualified and experienced national staff
  • S/he should be personable, a team player and
    a fast learner.
