About
NORHED:
NORHED is a new Norad
Programme designed to stimulate South-North collaboration. It is intended to
strengthen the Institutional capacity and performance of higher education
institutions (HEIs) in the South to deliver quality education and research.
This includes capacity development within systems development, administration
and infrastructure, with due attention to gender balance considerations. The
program compliments Norad’s specific support to research projects through the
Research Council of Norway and other mechanisms.
Makerere University has
received institutional development support from the Royal Government of Norway
to support implementation of the NORHED programme at the University.
Job
Summary: 
The Programme Administrator will be responsible for general administration of the
NORHED Institutional Development programme.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·        
Provide general administrative support
·        
Maintain all administrative records
·        
Timely communication on matters concerning the
programme
·        
Record proceedings and minutes of programme meetings
·        
Coordinate, organize programme management and
programme implementation committee meetings.
·        
Manage assets under the programme
·        
Participate in compiling progress and annual reports
on the status of the programme.
·        
Provide administrative support where necessary to
Project Principal Investigators.
·        
Perform any other official duties as may be assigned
by the supervisor.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant should possess a masters degree
    from a recognized Institution in any field.
  • An honours Bachelors degree in from a
    recognized Institution in any field.
  • S/he should possess at least five years of
    related work experience.
  • Training in Project Planning and Management
    will be advantageous
  • Experience in Institutional/Donor funded
    projects is preferred
  • Excellent report writing and communications
    skills
  • Good team work and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate skills

Less than 50 years
