About UBTEB:
Uganda Business and Technical
Examinations Board (UBTEB) is one of the national Examinations Boards in
Uganda. This is a professional Examinations Board with the mandate to
streamline, regulate, coordinate and conduct credible examinations and award
Certificates and Diplomas in the Business, Technical and Vocational
professions. The Board therefore conducts Business, Technical and Vocational
examinations, including Applied Science specialties such as Biological Sciences
(Agricultural, Fisheries, Wildlife, Forestry, Bee Keeping and other related
fields), Physical Sciences (Meteorology, Surveys and Land Management, and other
related fields), Cooperatives, Social Development, Hotel, Catering and Tourism.
UBTEB is committed to conduct quality applied knowledge and skills examinations
with an ultimate goal of enabling the students to access further upward
academic progressions and employment in the world of work.
Job Summary: The
Examinations Officer (Manuscript) will plan and implement production and
storage of examinations manuscripts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Produce
    Examination manuscripts;
  • Proof
    read manuscripts and produce final question papers,
  • Prepare
    instruments for the management examinations;
  • Arrange
    for the Awards meetings:
  • Perform
    any other duties as may be assign by supervisors.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. Business:
  • The
    candidate should possess an Honours degree in a Business related course
    with a Diploma in Secretarial Duties and or Advanced certificate with
    proficiency in shorthand and typewriting Experience in using manuscript
    signs and teaching qualification are added advantage OR An Honours Degree
    in, Commerce, Business Studies/Management or in any other Business field
    examinable by the Board with a diploma in a field examinable by the Board
    as an added advantage.
2. Mechanical Engineering:
  • The
    candidate should possess an Honours degree in Mechanical engineering field
    with a certificate in MVT or MECP and a diploma in Mechanical engineering.
  • Must
    have Auto/Arch-card experience.
  • Teaching
    qualification is an added advantage
3. Civil Engineering:
  • The
    candidate should possess an Honours degree in Civil Engineering related
    field (e.g. Architecture, Water, Hydrology, Building, etc) with a bias in
    plumbing
  • Must
    have Auto/Arch-card experience.
  • Teaching
    qualification is an added advantage
4. Biological Sciences:
Agriculture:
  • An
    Honours degree in any Agricultural related field with a diploma in (Animal
    Husbandry, Crop Production or Fisheries;
  • Teaching
    qualification is an added advantage
Fisheries:
  • The
    applicant should hold a Degree in Fisheries.
  • Teaching
    experience an added advantage
5. Physical Sciences:
  • The
    applicant should possess an Honours degree in Land Surveying a or Land
    Management with either a diploma in Physical Planning, Cartography or Land
    Management and Valuation. Must have working experience in Cartography.
  • Teaching
    qualification is an added advantage.
