Client, SOS Children’s Villages Uganda is a member of SOS Kinderdorf
International, a worldwide, independent, non-governmental social development
organization that has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests
and rights of children since 1949.
SOS
Children’s Villages Uganda is a locally registered Trust with a local governing
body: the Board of Trustees. It has been operating since 1989 and currently has
projects caring for more than 2,500 children in four locations at Kakiri,
Entebbe, Gulu and Fort Portal. The various projects include SOS Children’s
Villages, Community outreach programmes, Kindergartens, schools, medical
centres and social centres.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an Institutional Partnership strategy in line
    with SOS’ national strategy.
  • Identify national local level partnership opportunities with
    international organisations, embassies and foundations to support the work
    of SOS.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the identified Institutional
    Partners.
  • Lead the programme proposal development process to exploit
    partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the national programs’ donor contract management and reporting.
  • Lead in the knowledge management and capacity building of staff in
    funding and contract compliance.
  • Lead the regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of
    the Institutional Partnership Strategy.
  • Prepare and submit Institutional Partnership Development reports to
    the National Programme Development Advisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate should hold a University degree from a reputable
    institution.
  • At least five years work experience in successfully developing and
    wining large proposals, and managing funds from institutional donors.
  • Experience in partnership development and networking.
  • Experience of capacity building non-funding staff in all aspects of
    funding and contract compliance.
  • Experience in research.
  • Experience in PCM and training approaches.
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Written communication particularly in proposal and report writing.
  • Representation and networking skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
