of Uganda
(GOU) micro credit programmes under the Rural Financial Services
Strategy. MSC facilitates access to affordable, sustainable and convenient
financial and Business Development services to active and productive Ugandans.
MSC Ltd supports legally established entities engaged in the value chain
namely; production, value addition and marketing enterprises.
Job Summary: The
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&EO) will be responsible for ensuring
that activities in the Company’s strategic plan, departmental/unit plans are
undertaken as planned and provide feedback to the concerned. Ensure that the
Zonal data is updated quarterly and assistance is provided to Zonal staff where
necessary.
Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Implement Monitoring and Evaluation
    (M&E) framework to measure the Company’s output.
  • Participate in the collection and
    updating of client’s data for measuring socio Economic impact of MSC
    intervention.
  • Periodically monitor the Company’s
    performance and propose remedial action.
  • Produce reports and other information in
    respect of Company’s intervention as may be required from time to time.
  • Participate in the development of
    standardized tools to ensure quality M&E systems.
  • Support the Head of the Unit in
    undertaking field monitoring activities in order to identify problems and
    recommend solutions.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by
    supervisor
Key Performance
Indicators:
  • Data collection to implement periodic
    assessment and evaluation of the company’s performance in all allocated
    areas.
  • Designed tools and framework for M&E
    processes.
  • M&E monthly and quarterly reports.
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
  • The candidate should hold a Degree
    (Honours) from a recognized university in Project planning and management,
    Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences and any other related
    qualification.
  • Two or more years’ experience in the
    field of development and use of M&E approaches and logical framework.
  • Exposure in donor reporting requirements
    is desirable.
  • Knowledge in analytical software packages
    such as SPSS or SAS is a must.
  • Self driven with high sense of
    responsibility.
  • Ability to meet deadline with minimal
    supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
