About Us:
Uganda Clays Ltd is one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of
baked clay building products in the Eastern and Central African region. The
head offices are located at Kajjansi, 14 km on Entebbe road, with a second
factory situated at Kamonkoli in Eastern Uganda.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and dynamic
individuals to fill the following position available at the Kajjansi factory:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compute salaries, wages,
    advances, overtime and any other allowances for the permanent and
    temporary staff of Uganda Clays Ltd.
  • Effect all statutory
    and non statutory deductions on the payroll i.e. NSSF.LST.PAYE, Pension,
    House rent, Interest on staff loans and advances.
  • Monitor and reconcile
    all payroll related subsidiary ledgers on monthly basis.
  • Prepare journal
    vouchers to record related entries.
  • Prepare and submit
    timely and accurate statutory returns to the relevant authorities.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
  • The candidate should possess
    a degree in Commerce, Business Administration (accounting) or a related
    field.
  • Two years experience
    in a similar position in a small to medium sized manufacturing, construction
    or trading company.
  • Computer literacy
    skills.
