Job Summary:  The Risk and Compliance Manager will be
responsible for;
  • Coordinating the Institutional Risk
    Management process by Identifying Key Institutional Risks, Putting in
    place mechanisms to measure all risks, prioritizing tracking the risks,
    developing risk mitigation measures and monitoring the risk direction.
  • Ensuring Compliance with operating
    procedures, processes, policies and Regulations and relevant Laws through
    championing of best banking practices in all business units.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop appropriate compliance monitoring
    tools to ensure all Business Units adhere to sound business practices,
    legislation, regulations, by-laws, policies and procedures
  • Establishes Risk management policies and
    Guidelines for analysis/assessment/rating in line with the central bank
    and other regulatory ,authorities, for all Institutional Risks, and ensure
    the same is implemented.
  • Responsible for the development and
    maintenance of Comprehensive Risk assessment tools of the institution in
    collaboration with the audit department.
  • Participate in the planning and monitoring
    of the institution strategic plan and advise management appropriately.
  • Assist the Head of Audit with risk and
    control assessments to perform audits aimed at ensuring that risks are
    appropriately dealt with.
  • Identify risk-focused training needs and
    requirements, and support related training for efficient implementation of
    risk management projects.
  • Review and monitor institutional strategic
    objectives to ensure they are operationalised and adhered to.
  • Act as a coordinator between Senior
    Management, the banking regulator, Funders and other Stakeholders on the
    subject of Institutional risk
  • Prepare and submit risk management and
    compliance reports to management.

    communication skills;
  • Leadership and very objective judgment
    skills;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Investigative skills
Age: 30 to 40 years
