About UNMU:
Our Client, Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union, (UNMU) was established
and registered in 2003 to represent the Nurses and Midwives in Uganda. It is
both a professional body as well as a labor organization. As a professional
organization, UNMU focuses on ensuring that the profession is practiced at the
highest possible standard. As a labor organization, UNMU spearheads efforts
geared toward improving the socio-economic welfare of Nurses and Midwives in
the country as a whole.
Job Summary: The main
purpose of the job role is to support the patients ensuring that mechanisms are
in place to swiftly and effectively deal with any health concerns.  In
addition, the Wellness Centre Nurse has an important role in building positive
relationships with patients and their families aiming to promote wellness
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidate should possess a Bachelor of
    Science Nursing (BSN) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Master’s degree would be an added
    advantage.
  • The ideal candidate should have nursing
    experience; Ability to communicate effectively; Strong interpersonal
    skills, Results driven; and to take initiative; Good reporting skills in
    English and fluency in local language.

towards others, Logical / forward thinking, Personal integrity
