Job Summary: The Last Mile Mobile Solution (LMMS) Officer will be charged with the provision of  management supervision of the LMMS (Last Mile Mobile Solution) data entry and reporting in the respective district and ensure LMMS system is deployed in the district of operation and is being utilized in the day to day implementation of field activities including registration of participants, tracking of work implementation and distribution of the entitlements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1.       LMMS Equipment Deployment:
·         Safe custody of all the LMMS equipment deployed in the district of operation.
·         Deployment of LMMS equipment to field staff during work days, food, cash or voucher distributions.
·         Ensure staff assigned to handle LMMS equipment take good care of them; do not use servers or CN devices for non-LMMS purposes.
·         Ensure adequate protection of LMMS server is maintained through frequent update of the anti-virus software.
·         Conduct periodic check with the help of IT staff to ensure LMMS equipment is functioning well at all times.
2.      Training:
·         Conduct periodic training and re-training of field based staff on how to use LMMS.
·         Identify training /technical needs relating to utilization of LMMS and consult with FPMG contact person to address identified gaps.
·         Sensitization of non- field based staff on advantages of LMMS (automating the distribution process through the LMMS). Explain to them the benefits it offers in terms of service quality to the beneficiaries.
·         Liase with Commodity Manager to identify external training opportunities and exposure visit for LMMS user staff.
3.      Registration of Beneficiaries using LMMS:
·         Conduct field based registration of households/beneficiaries who will be participating in project activities in the district of operation.
·         Ensure households/beneficiary data is updated at all times including details of which households are in program and those who are not.
·         Maintain an updated database of households and beneficiaries who have been issued with LMMS cards including list of lost and replaced cards by households.
4.      Distribution:
·         Conduct food distribution to beneficiaries using the LMMS.
·         Generate accurate LMMS distribution reports detailing number of beneficiaries, gender, vulnerability status etc
·         Provide narrative report to backup the LMMS distribution reports including tracking time taken to complete each distribution, challenges encountered during the distribution and how they were mitigated.
5.      Backup and Data Security: Undertake frequent backup of LMMS data.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • A Bachelors degree in development discipline.
  • At least one year’s previous experience in Food distribution.
  • Ability to perform field assignments
  • Willingness to travel for long period of time in difficult terrain, harsh and demanding conditions.
  • Be willing to live and work in very difficult and security-risk areas.
  • At least one year’s field experience.
  • Mature Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
