Job Summary: The Donor Relations Coordinator will organize services to World Vision US (WVUS) donors, including flow of communications and donor reporting, building capacity of National Office staff and project communities, ensuring positive and predictable vision trip experiences, and serving as the key point of contact for WVUS Donor Engagement Support Services.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate, serve and strengthen relationships with WVUS Major Donors, Mid-Level Donors, WVUS Church Partners and in-country representations are met.
  • Lead in ensuring WVUS donors and Church Partners receive optimal support from all necessary National Office departments, including Sponsorship, Communications, Operations, and staff at Area Development Program levels.
  • Provide timely and high quality reporting for WVUS funded Area Development Programmes (ADPs) and projects, including project updates, tracking of project outputs, prayer updates, photos/videos and high impact stories.
  • Develop and lead in the implementation of a capacity building program to ensure program staff and community understanding of, and involvement in interpersonal engagements with Major and Mid-Level Donors and Churches from WVUS
  • Travel to the US to support fundraising efforts through presentations to selected donor constituencies, such as US Churches, as will be required from time to time.
  • Actively participate in the spiritual life and Christian commitment activities of the organisation
  • Participating in the spiritual nurture of staff and communities in alignment with World Vision’s values, vision and mission.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, fundraising or related field of study preferred
  • Excellent communication and public relations skills with strong English language (written, oral) to clearly communicate complex ideas and principles
  • 3 years working experience with NGOs and in managing external donor relations or marketing organisation.
  • Technical experience with video and still photography required
  • Experience with personal computing, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages required
  • High level experience of working in a multi-cultural context, team player with good interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders towards a common purpose
  • Personal maturity, flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to field projects
  • Mature Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
