Key Duties &
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the PRAAC project budget preparation,
    management and control to ensure adherence to the donor requirements.
  • Provide support to the Project Manager to
    manage the project budget in line with Plan and AusAID set policies and
    Guidelines
  • Monitor the project budget expenditures
    for the different program areas to ensure conformance with Plan and AusAID
    set policies and guidelines
  • Prepare project financial reports and other
    financial related documents to comply with AusAID and Plan guidelines
  • Prepare analysis of the project Program
    Outlines expenditure
  • Maintain and regularly update the PRAAC
    project Asset Register
  • Carry out due diligence of new and
    continuing partners to assess capacity
  • Review partnership agreements to ensure
    compatibility with work plan and budget provided
  • Follow up partners for accountabilities
  • Monitor the usage of stationery as well as
    welfare items
 Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant with either ACCA or
    CPA
  • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or
    related field
  • Minimum of four (4) years working
    experience as an Accountant in a busy organization preferably with NGO
    experience
  • Experience in managing different donor
    requirements and handling multi-Donor projects
  • Demonstrable abilities in planning,
    budgeting and financial management
  • Experience in grant accounting will be an
    added advantage
  • Good skills in report writing,
    interpersonal, analytical and communication
  • Computer literacy and conversant with Ms
    Office packages
