Entebbe Handling Services (ENHAS) trading as National Aviation Services (NAS) ensures smooth handling of passengers from check-in to boarding, offering a warm experience for over 2000 air travellers daily. Safety is at the heart of everything we do. ENHAS provides assistance to passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, the blind, deaf, those with reduced mobility and the elderly. We verify and advise about the authenticity of travel documents, check in passenger baggage and help you through immigration and security procedures.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Heads of Departments to maintain and enhance appropriate, effective safety & security systems, risk assessments, periodical inspections & audits, operational training programs, planning, operational processes, and service delivery.
  • Implement Customer Airlines SLA to ensure the company is fully compliant and achieve all targets.
  • Monitor implementation and use of existing performance measurement tools such as Power BI, OCC, and any other IT Innovation tools.
  • Implement company policies and procedures, promoting safety, security, and people management practices.
  • Promoting and driving a safety culture throughout operational departments.
  • Ensure the business units remain fully compliant with NAS Corporate standards and all relevant industry, regulatory and national legal requirements.
  • Lead and motivate teams to deliver excellent quality and high productivity.
  • Direct and motivate Section Supervisors to achieve agreed targets.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree or postgraduate qualification.
  • At least five to seven years of management experience in Airline or Airport Ground Handling business.
  • Competency in Aircraft Weight and Balance, Cargo Operations and Customer Service is desirable
  • Must have excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate cross functionally in a unionized environment, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
