ICT Security Officer Job at Microfinance Institution (MFI)

Reports to: Head of ICT
Our client, one of the leading Microfinance Deposit Taking Institutions in Uganda, is looking for professionally confident, self-motivated, committed team players, to reinforce their capacity by filling the following vacant positions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Designing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting on an appropriate systems security.
·         Ensuring staff compliance with ICT security policy and standards.
·         Recommending and advising on procurement of ICT requirements ranging from software to hardware and monitor usage by the system users.
·         Facilitating the periodic revision of ICT security strategy, policies and standards as per the business requirements to ensure an up to-date business plan for continuity.
·         Ensuring the help-desk functions meet the set call resolution targets.
·         Conducting testing of the disaster recovery plan and participate in indecent responses, e.g. compliance of networks, servers and security events and.
·         Preparing ICT notifications and alerts for sharing with all staff using ICT equipment and ensure ICT security and usage awareness information is disseminated to all staff.
·         Ensuring monitoring, reviewing and maintenance of all ICT systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         Should possess a Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science, Information Systems or in any other relevant/ related field from a recognized institution.
·         Should also possess experience of at least two years in a related field with a focus on policy and security.
·         Possession of IT security certifications such as CISSP/ GIAC/SSCP/ CISA and suitable CISCO certifications will be an added advantage.
·         Should be a person of high integrity and confidentiality, proactive and self-driven.
·         Must possess business awareness skills, customer awareness skills, reporting skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
·         Should be willing to work outside of regular working hours.
·         Should not be more than 30 years of age
