Job Summary: The Regional Sales Representative will lead
and manage the sales in Eastern & Northern Uganda to ensure the BU is able
to meet its objectives in regards to market share and revenues. The sales
personnel will also liaises with customer service, logistics and other
functions to ensure customers are satisfied.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve budget/target sales volumes in the
relevant region i.e. 200,000 tons in 2013 (an average of 17,000 per month) - 50% Market Share in the Region.
- Growth of Retail Sales by supervising the
Retail Reps and ensuring they are signing on new customers. (Performance
management of Retail) - Market Intelligence: Weekly reporting of
landed prices, selling prices, suppliers & complaints and issues in
the market visited. - Recruitment of new Customers
Key Performance Areas:
- Achieve key safety objectives for 2013
including: undergoing defensive driver training, carrying out 4 road
patrols in 2013, undergo VFL training. - Visit an average of 15 outlets a day and
submit weekly reports of the outlets visited. The weekly report will
provide information of the outlets visited, buying prices, selling prices,
supplier, counter size & market issues and complaints. - Use of CRM Tool: Undergo training in the
use of CRM tool and implement use of the Tool for Planning, Reporting of
Leads & Logging of Customer Complaints. - Complete all Key training Objectives for
2013: Health & Safety, CRM Tool, Code of Business Conduct & Sandler
Sales Techniques. - Grow the Customer Base in the Region as
Follows:- (a) From 8 Dealers as of May 2013 to 12 Dealers
as at December 2013, (b) From
25 active Retailers as of May 2013 to 35 active retailers as at December
2013. - Lead the Builders Academy in the Region by
ensuring it is coordinated with Marketing Manager and ensuring there are 4
Builders Academy Sessions in the Eastern & Northern Region. Each
Session will be organised & co-ordinated by the Job Holder with
support from Marketing. - Trade Blitz: Lead 4 trade
blitzes in 4 towns in E&N Uganda. Ensure there is a detailed report
for each Blitz that covers; outlets visited, brand presence, feedback from
each outlet, number of staff on the visit, feedback from the market, items
given out to the market.
Qualifications, Skills, and
Experience:
Experience:
- The Sales representative should hold a University
Degree or the Equivalent - Good Report writing skills
- Computer literacy i.e. Working knowledge
of Microsoft excel and word. - Good Analytical skills (able to understand
basic profit & loss calculations) - Experience managing and leading a team ie.
supervisory/ management skills - Customer service skills, putting the
customer first. - Articulate presentation skills
- Good understanding of business /trade
environment - The ideal candidate will possess a valid
driving permit with at least 3 years driving experience

leadership skills, Able to plan and prioritise, Comfortable dealing with people
and a good listener, Reliable, tolerant & determined, Able to work
